Working to UL’s design— with JG input on finishes and systems — we delivered a bespoke, solid, and secure storeroom. The works were completed in just three weeks, a quick turnaround that UL valued and approved.

Project Scope

• Bespoke storeroom built within existing warehouse

• Layout and specification developed by UL, with JG input on finishes and systems

• Full fit-out including secure walls, finishes, and access provisions

• Delivered in a 3-week programme with 4 weeks’ lead-in

• All operatives inducted by both UL and JG, signed in/out daily, and issued with UL security passes

• Weekly progress updates including fire-rating proof and insulation checks

Project Delivery

Commencement

• Safety and management built into the project from day one

The first stages focused on installing partitions, including free-standing structures and jumbo walls up to 11m high. Insulation and plasterboard systems were fixed directly, followed by suspended ceilings to complete the initial framework.

Main Works

The central task was to construct a secure, bespoke storeroom tailored to UL’s requirements. To achieve this, we used trusted systems and finishes including:

• British Gypsum metal framing and plasterboard systems

• Acoustic insulation rolls, with full data sheets shared with the client

• Taping and jointing to a high finish using British Gypsum products

• Decoration with Dulux paint systems

• Bespoke fire-rated door manufactured by Forza

Added Value

Beyond the specification, JG Projects made small but meaningful improvements. An adjacent wall in the communal area was redecorated for consistency, skirting boards and concrete floors were sealed, and no detail was overlooked. The result was a clean, solid, and secure storeroom delivered by a reliable team with a quick turnaround for a busy international business.
